Ancestral Tomb

Ancestral Tomb
Feng Shui Site
Power: 1
Body: 5
Ancestral Tomb's Body is increased by the number of characters in your smoked pile. While Ancestral Tomb has damage counters on it, it does not count towards fulfilling its owners victory conditions.

General Notes

Everybody probably has a fist full of these. One of the smaller sites out of the first set, its a card that needs to be handled properly if it is going to work in your deck. It gets bigger as the game goes on, but is vunerable to specific combinations.

Use

The Ancestral Tomb is a good Feng Shui site for a deck with a lot of 1 or 2 Fighting characters in it as they tend to die early, and build up the Tomb. This can make the Tomb an attractive first site, since it can eventually be even bigger than the Inner Sanctum. Since the Tomb doesn't count for victory when damaged, it can allow you to play out more FS sites than normal, allow you to avoid being too close to victory, and set up some sneaky wins. Try to avoid putting this into a deck that relies on toasting your own characters (like Arcanotechnicians) or returning them to play (like Golden Comebacks).

Pros

In the later stages of the game, it can be huge. I've seen it as big as 20+ body. This makes it a nice front row site in the midgame.

Cons

Vunerable to Inaspicious Reburials for obvious reasons. Requires you to get characters into the smoked pile and keep them there.
