Notes:

This is the deck that won Flashpoint London winning 4 out of 5 games outright - all with at least 4 players. The key theme is the combination of the top Dragons with lots of healing (Chinese Doctor, Ice Diadem, Ice Healer and Sacred Heart Hospital). Back for Seconds and the Prof can also be used for more healing during an attack. The deck has two Ting Tings and two Golden Gunmen but is otherwise a fairly cheap deck to build. These two characters are also a bit too popular and playing them risks Uniqueness auctions. Tom nominated Jack Donovan as his MVP and he is much safer in this respect. The combination of his 8 Fighting, Guts and lots of healing can make him very hard to stop.
Tom only added Let's Book from the Flashpoint preview draft but didn't get a chance to play it. Johnny Badhair is now a good alternative to Jack Donovan, being even easier to resurrect. Tom used to play a similar deck with Architects instead of the Monarchs, using Cellular Re-invigoration in place of the Ice Diadem. He became tired of having his Architect events Brain Fired and so decided to switch to the Monarchs for this tournament.
Tom came to the UK from Chicago in 1972 but still has a distinctive deep drawl. He looks somewhat like Jack Donovan, as pictured by Liz Danforth - well-built and bearded with a touch of grey. Unusually for players here, he likes to smoke foul cheroots (but don't tell his wife!) - hence his subtitle "Smoking Man". His play style is what might called Snapping Turtle - conservative at the outset but swift to seize an advantage. He is indeed a worthy champion.
