Notes

There were several contenders for the title at Flashpoint Finchley XVI but this is the official winning deck.
Dan is a Magic fanatic and, while he has a good collection of Shadowfist cards, he has limited time for deck design. This has been his primary Shadowfist deck for some time and it has been honed in regular play at the GLC Games Club. This was a good proving ground for a 5-player final as 5 or 6 player games are not unusual at this club.
Dan typically builds a big site structure and defends it doggedly against the many assaults that it usually attracts. His defenses appear weak because he plays characters like Swiss Banker and Cabinet Minister rather than the tough thugs that others favour. But if he loses a feng shui site he will replace it with a City Park. If he loses one of the special sites like the Yellow Senshi Chamber then he will play another when he can win the uniqueness auction. Loss of a site will trigger the Shield of Pure Soul and the card of choice for the top of the deck is a Shadowy Mentor. He who laughs last, laughs loudest ...
His main objective is to build up a large hand of cards and, when the time is right, to make a winning attack with powerful superleapers. Dan has a good sense for the state of the table and will wield his big hand with finesse to set up the win.
The deck may appear too large but this size is good insurance against lengthy games. For his victory in the final of Flashpoint Finchley 16, he used 90 of the 108 cards.
